The biggest difference I noticed in my writing would probably be my word choice. In my summer essay, I use a lot of I's, as well as try to summarize the story while in my TKaM essay, there are no 1st or 2nd person pronouns and I try to get my point across instead of a story summary.
In my summer essay, as I try to convey the theme I say "I think the theme is" while in TKaM I word it as "Atticus proves that in order to change society, action must be taken against ignorance"
I feel like the writing format makes writing a lot easier. It makes it a lot easier to get my point across in a clear, concise way, without any plot or filler. However, my biggest problem in writing is the use of pronouns. I try to make my writing simulate normal speach, which often involves the use of 1st or 2nd person pronouns. Although I do feel like I'm making progress in not using those pronouns as much, I still need a little work.
I hope to get the MLA format down and standard for my usage. It still is a little difficult at the moment, with the difficulties I said I had before with pronoun use, but I think I'm almost there.
